With over 20 years of experience, Dr Recica is a highly respected Consultant Dermatologist, known for his expertise in skin cancer treatment and advanced dermatological surgery, including Mohs micrographic surgery – a precise technique used to treat skin cancer with minimal impact on healthy tissue.
Dr Recica has held several senior leadership roles, such as Clinical Lead, MDT Lead and Skin Cancer Lead, underlining his commitment to clinical excellence and patient care. He completed his specialist dermatology training in London and the West Midlands, followed by advanced surgical training in Mohs surgery in Cardiff. He has further refined his skills with international training at the American College of Mohs Surgery (San Diego) and the American Society for Mohs Surgery (Houston).
His clinical background includes work at some of the UK’s most renowned dermatology centres, including the Royal Free Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and the University Hospital of Wales.
A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), Dr Recica is also a proud member of leading professional bodies such as the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD), the British Society for Dermatological Surgery (BSDS), and the American Society for Mohs Surgery (ASMS).

I chose Dr Recica from a list of Consultant Dermatologists and I struck gold. He undertook three different facial skin procedures, all totally successfully and without leaving any scarring. He listens; asks pertinent questions; explains everything in clear language; and, above all, makes you feel at ease. None of the appointments were long but not once did I feel rushed. On one occasion, if necessary, he was even prepared to stay an extra two hours if I was delayed as I was flying into the country; mercifully, I was on time but what a gesture! Medically superb, I must also add he showed an interest in me as a person rather than as a patient. My only complaint is that five stars do not do him justice. He is someone you can book with total confidence.
